Originally I was going to make the app free on iTunes and Google Play. The plan was to offer the first half for free and, if you wanted, you could buy the second half of the book through an in-app purchase (the tools I use don’t allow this option on NOOK & Kindle Fire).

Unfortunately it didn’t work correctly so Apple rejected the app and I scrambled to make it right. Rather than bang my head against the wall struggling with it, I just decided to release two versions of the app–The full paid version and a free “Lite” version which would link to the paid version. This is what’s available now on the three stores I listed earlier. Get your free version, try it out and then buy the full one

Apple approved the Lite version yesterday and like I said, it’s on iTunes now. However! I guess I messed up when I submitted the paid version to Apple because they rejected it earlier today. I fixed the error a few minutes ago and have submitted it back to Apple, but it will probably be about a week before they approve it. Ugh. My bad…. Look for it on the iTunes App Store around March 5th!

Also: I’ve had a couple NOOK owners email me about audio problems. Specifically, they’re not getting sound from the app. It looks like the problem has to do with device settings. If you’re experiencing this issue, try this: Go to “Settings” and tap on “Sounds.” Uncheck the box next to “Mute.” Then tap on “Media” and move the slider all the way up. That should get you sound in my apps!

Now for Android owners: One user emailed me saying the version of “Passover” he downloaded from Google Play crashed. He received a “runtime error” towards the end of the storybook. Well, I got in touch with some help and the error is now fixed. I’ve uploaded Version 1.0.1 to Google Play and it will be live February 27th (tomorrow)!

I’m really proud of this app and I want it to be a great as possible. If you purchase it and discover an error please let me know.

I’m so happy with this book. It’s funny, cute and a lot of fun! It’s a lot longer than I’d originally planned, too. I’d intended to draw about 25 pages but it ended up being over 40!
